Metamorphosis combines inner transfiguration with a departure from all visible and invisible boundaries. The metamorphosing figure wresting itself free from the hewn acrylic block thus becomes a symbol of inner liberation. Depending on the fall of light, the outer limits of the block disappear altogether. Then, by virtue of its reflectivity, it becomes one with its surroundings, while its multifarious refractions of light make it gleam like a crystal.
